The name "Loud Citizen" was not coined by me. Kevin Conner of Florida published a Web site, LoudCitizen.com, during the election recount of 2000, to protest Al Gore's failed attempt to steal the election. In January 2001, I rallied with Kevin on the steps of the Supreme Court, in support of Bush at his first inauguaration.
He started local on-line chapters by using Yahoo's eGroups, and I moderated the New York Yahoo group (newyork-gwb) for six years. Now that Kevin's organization and the Web site no longer exist, and the name is no longer in use, I have adopted the name Loud Citizen.
I credit Kevin as the man responsible for getting me into activism. He was a model of calm, intelligent, persistent work, as well organization and relationships. Thanks, Kevin.
